What is GH Online?
Grange Hill Online (GH Online) is an unofficial fan site for the legendary BBC school drama series, Grange Hill. Launched in late 2000, GH Online covers ALL aspects of the series' 30-year history from 1978 to 2008, so no matter how old or young you are there is something here for you! Check out our HISTORY ZONE which looks back at how the show began plus those classic Grange Hill characters and moments. Slowly but surely, we are also building an archive of EPISODE GUIDES. We cover old school and new class in equal measure, and everything in between!

Who runs it?
Our Webmasters are Simon, who founded the site, and "Tucker". Simon is a devoted Grange Hill fan who thinks the show is in a class of its own (ugh!) and has watched every single episode. Tucker runs an IT consultancy which hosts the site and looks after the technical side of things. We also work closely with Jack Turrell, one of our Forum moderators, who occasionally produces content for us.

How many hits does GH Online get?
GH Online usually gets around 1.8 million hits a month. In May 2005 two million people logged on in one night following broadcast of the Channel 4 programme Bring Back...Grange Hill, but the site got the most hits ever on Monday 15 September 2008 - the day of Grange Hill's final episode. So many people visited, the site crashed! If you like the site, tell your friends.

John JosephDo the cast visit the site?
Yes they do! We are regularly approached by cast members from across the show's time span, and the list is growing! Among those involved with the site have been Alison Bettles, Dani Fray, John Hudson (pictured), Joe Slack, Robert Craig Morgan, Simone Hyams, Lee MacDonald and Kirsten Cassidy. Lime Pictures, who made Grange Hill, also look in and our presence on social networking sites has helped spread the word.

I was in Grange Hill and would like to get involved with the site. What do I do?
Drop Simon a line at info@grangehill.net. If you're up for doing a Star File, an exclusive interview for GH Online or you even have your own ideas, we can't wait to hear from you!

Why is there no Star File on my favourite actor?
Information on some cast, especially those in the earlier series, is often difficult to come by because a lot of people quit showbusiness after appearing in Grange Hill. We try to include as many actors in Star File but you just don't hear about many people - sorry.

How can I interact with the site?
That's easy - send your comments or any suggestions to us - our contact details can be found here. We publish as many of your views on our letters page, Sound Off (unless you don't want us to) and do our best to answer your questions. To share your views with other Grange Hill fans, visit our forum The Grange Hill Schoolyard. Registration is free and the boards are open 24 hours a day!

Where do I send any suggestions/complaints?
Any ideas you have are always welcome. Contact us here with your suggestions and do the same if you're not happy with us.
