Jeremy Bishop

School Days: 2003-2007

Jeremy always had a fairly sheltered life. He was a bit of a spod and was on the receiving end of Mooey's cruelty, until he stood up to his tormentor. Latterly, Jeremy was more assertive and filled his spare time with music tuition and Scouts.

He came from an affluent background - his father, an architect, built the local shopping centre but is very distant towards his son. Mum, on the other hand, was over-protective. Jeremy tried to play down his home life and rarely spoke about it.

Year 7 Jeremy is bullied by Mooey since day one. Togger sticks up for him, but Jeremy accuses Togger of getting him into more trouble. Togger advises him to chill out - so he turns up for school shirt untucked, collar undone. Jeremy finally snaps on Sports Day and floors Mooey; suddenly he becomes a hero!

Year 8 Jeremy is determined to beat Mooey at cross-country but his arch enemy comes in first. Everyone assumes Jeremy is giving Miss Dyson presents and he puts pressure on Togger - who knows it's Emma - to come clean. When Emma is publicly exposed and humiliated, Jeremy tries helping her tell mum how she feels.

Year 9 Malachay installs Jeremy as the lead in the school film, My Lady's So Unfair. Dawn thinks he's useless and insists he gets the boot - Jeremy is devastated and co-lead Emma walks out in sympathy.

Year 10 Emma thinks Jeremy is going to ask her out - but to her amazement he asks her about his chances with Tanya! Jeremy is heartbroken when Tanya fails to keep their date. Jeremy and Togger share their insecurities about girls.

Year 11 Jeremy is still lusting after Emma but his nose is put squarely out of joint by newcomer Kyle. When Kyle vanishes he tries to offer Emma the hand of friendship but all he gets is a slap for his troubles. Jeremy intercepts the letter Emma has written to Kyle and discovers the full extent of her situation - and vows to stand by her.
