YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW...Alisn attended The Aveley Comprehensive in Essex. She auditioned several times for Grange Hill before she was accepted. Mum June was Grange Hill's senior chaperone from 1978-2002. During her time on the programme Alison owned a Jack Russell called Bullet. She's now returning to acting after a break to raise a family. During that time, she qualified as a beauty therapist.

They've followed in mum's footsteps - Arthur appeared in EastEnders last Christmas, as well as commercials for Haven Holidays, Buckaroo and the NSPCC. Albert had a part in "The Lost Child" story in Doctor Who, and also the Muddles commercial where he declares "I hate fish!". Alison also has two brothers, Mark and Dean. It was through Dean's involvement in a West End play that Alison got into acting.

WHERE IS SHE NOW? Using her married name Alison Valentine, Alison set up a specialist freight forwarding company, Kenvale Recruitment, with a business partner in October 2005. The company is growing but she's still available for auditions!

Many thanks to Alison for her help
